Chocolate Chunk Cookies

Chocolate Chunk Cookies
Delicious, chocolate-y heaven! :)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Cream the butter in the mixer until smooth.

Add both of the sugars and cream together until smooth.

Add each egg, one at a time, until the batter is light.

Stir in the vanilla extract.

Dissolve the baking soda in the hot water and add to the batter.

Add the salt and mix well.

Add the flour, one cup at a time, until all is incorporated.

Chop up the chocolate.  For Ghiradelli, I cut each square into about 12 - 16 small cubes.

Add to the batter and mix in by hand (or by a rubber spatula).

Add the chocolate chips and mix in by hand again.

Drop by 2-tablespoon-fuls into pans lined with parchment paper.  Bake for about 9 minutes.

Beautiful! :)
